"Shifting Borders" by Doug Beube

Pages and Passages, the 21st annual New Jersey Book Arts Symposium, will be held at Alexander Library on Friday, November 6.

Featured artists Doug Beube, Lynne Buschman, Peter Jacobs, Elizabeth Mackie, Sydney Jean Reisen, and Maryann Riker will discuss recent book work.  The day will begin with a workshop on molding and casting miniature relief sculptures led by Asha Ganpat.  The morning program will include a curatorial discussion by Diane Shaw, director for special collections and college archives at Lafayette College.  The lunchtime seminar will feature readings from artists’ books, and a summation will be delivered by Judith K. Brodsky, founder of the Brodsky Center for Innovative Editions.  The symposium will conclude with the Book Artists Jam.
