To find a journal, magazine, or newspaper article in the most popular databases in your subject area, enter your search term(s) and choose a subject from the pull-down menu. To find books and more in the Library Catalog, enter your term(s) and select a search type in the pull-down menu. For more information see "How Do I Find a Book?"

To find a print or electronic journal in the Rutgers collections, enter its title or keywords in the title and select the appropriate search type in the pull-down menu. For more information, see "How Do I Find a Journal?"

To find a list of books, textbooks, and electronic articles placed on course reserve by your instructor, enter your instructor's last name and search. You can also use the pull-down menu to search by course title or number.

Extended Summer Hours for Rutgers University-New Brunswick Libraries

Rutgers University-New Brunswick students looking for a safe, cool, and distraction-free place to study this summer are in luck! Rutgers University Libraries are pleased to announce extended library hours on the New Brunswick campus throughout the summer session.

Thanks to the generous support of the New Brunswick Summer & Special Projects, Division of Continuing Studies, the following libraries will be open extra hours for study:

  • The Alexander Library hours will be extended by two hours: M-TH 9 p.m. – 11 p.m., and Sunday 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • The Library of Science & Medicine (LSM) hours will be extended by two hours: M-TH
    9 p.m. – 11 p.m., and Sunday 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • The Douglass Library hours will be extended by two hours: M-TH 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • The Art Library hours will be extended by one hour: M-TH 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Students will find comfortable study space during these hours, but other services may be limited. Check with the circulation desk if you have specific needs.

In addition, some of these funds will be used for other library special projects this summer so look for additional enhancements to our services for students.
