Dana Library's 50th anniversary celebration kicks off Saturday, September 23 at noon.

Join us this Saturday, September 23 from noon to 4 p.m. as we kick off our yearlong celebration of John Cotton Dana Library’s 50th anniversary with a birthday bash featuring cake, refreshments, and a live hip-hop/jazz performance.

The festivities will take place during Fall Fest, Rutgers University–Newark’s annual street fair with free carnival games, giveaways, crafts, rides, and more. The soundtrack will be set by Nickel and Dime OPS, a jazz-fused hip-hop band based out of New York City known for their thought-provoking lyrics, soulful grooves, and powerful three-piece horn section.

We invite you to use the hashtag #RutgersDana50 on social media to follow along with our events throughout the year and to share your photos, videos, and recollections about what makes Dana Library special to you. We hope you will join in the celebration!
