Open and Affordable Textbook Events at Rutgers:
If you'd like to get more involved and learn more about the open education and textbook affordability movement, please attend one of these events on campus:
Open Access Week: October 23-29, 2017
Throughout Open Access Week, the Rutgers University Libraries will be encouraging students to share their ideas about what open access and educational affordability means to them.
These events are devoted to “Open Access” to information. Free, immediate, online access to the results of scholarly research and the right to use and re-use those results as you need has the power to transform the way research and scientific inquiry are conducted. The Open Access movement has direct and widespread implications for academia, medicine, science, industry, and for society as a whole.
Open Education Week: March 5-9, 2018
This is a celebration of the global Open Education Movement. Its goal is to raise awareness about the movement and its impact on teaching and learning worldwide.
