In the role of Director of Communications, Jessica Pellien coordinates the communications and marketing efforts for Rutgers University Libraries across all universities, campuses, and library locations. Her responsibilities include event and exhibit support; creation of marketing materials to promote the resources and activities of the library to students, faculty, and staff; media and publicity outreach; social media management; and strategic planning to meet the marketing and communications needs of the Libraries.

Joining the libraries in November 2015, Jessica was previously employed as the Marketing and Sales Director at Georgetown University Press, the Associate Director of Publicity and ePublicity Manager at Princeton University Press, and the Assistant Director of Sales and Marketing at Rutgers University Press. Working at the Rutgers University Libraries is a homecoming in more ways than one. In addition to previously working at the University, she also graduated in 1999 with a BA in English.
