Patron Access to Automated Information Sources

Background: Electronic information sources differ from other more traditional resources in their automated nature but not in their intended use -- that of supporting the research, instructional and public service programs of the University.

Policy: Access to these tools along with instructional support and consultation with library information specialists is open to the entire University community and the public which the University serves. Open access to the public is limited only by equipment, staffing or funding limitations or by contractual agreements entered into with database providers.
