How Do I connect from off-campus?

Access to Rutgers Libraries’ databases and electronic resources is governed by licensing agreements with commercial vendors. While all on-site visitors may access these resources via the campus network, off-campus access is restricted to current students, faculty, and staff of Rutgers University. For more information, see Licensed Digital Resources.

When attempting to access restricted resources from off-campus, you will be prompted to login to the campus proxy with your NetID and password.  To activate your NetID or reset your password visit: https://netid.rutgers.edu/.

Users who are not eligible for a Rutgers NetID but are eligible to access restricted library resources, may login with their library barcode and PIN. For more information, see How do I get my PIN?

Please note, you no longer have to log in before attempting to access library resources.  Instead, you will be automatically prompted for your NetID and password after you click on a link to a Rutgers restricted resource.

Step 1: Click on the connect link/graphic              Step 2: enter your netid and password to login. You will then connect to the resource.
