Current Rutgers students, faculty and staff do not need a pin. If you are a guest or affiliate borrower you will need a library PIN (a four-digit personal identification number issued by the Libraries) to view your account, renew books, change your PIN, or check your library record and messages. If eligible for remote access, affiliated users will also need their PIN to log on from off-campus.
You can get your PIN immediately by visiting or phoning the Circulation Desk of any Rutgers library. Or, you can submit a request to a team of Rutgers Libraries staff by filling out the "Registering with the Rutgers Libraries" form. You will normally receive a new PIN within 48 hours, excluding weekends and holidays.
