If you are a guest or affiliate borrower you will need a library PIN (a four-digit personal identification number issued by the Libraries) to use your , renew books, change your PIN, or check your library record and messages. If eligible for remote access, affiliated users will also need their PIN to log on from off-campus.
You can get your PIN immediately by visiting or phoning the Circulation Desk of any Rutgers library. Or, you can submit a request to a team of Rutgers Libraries staff by filling out the "Registering with the Rutgers Libraries" form. You will normally receive a new PIN within 48 hours, excluding weekends and holidays.
Current Rutgers students, faculty, and staff use their NetIDs for online library services and do not need PINs.
