Description

IntelliConnect, formerly CCH Tax Research NetWork, is a comprehensive database of documents related to taxation in the United States. Most of these publications may be found by clicking on the Browse button on the top left, and then expanding the "Explanations, Treatises & Guidebooks" or the "Laws, Regulations and Other Primary Sources" sections.

The full text of federal tax law, Internal Revenue Service publications, and numerous interpretive tax guides are available. Tax reporters for all fifty states are included, as well as current state and federal tax news. The database is fully searchable for free text or individual citations.

The legal documentation can be used to locate relevant laws applying to a particular tax topic, including the text of the Internal Revenue Code, federal regulations, IRS letter rulings, and more. The tax reporters, such as the Standard Federal Income Tax Reporter, provide an interpretive description of current tax law, putting individual rules and legislation in the context of the entire body of tax law.

The Corporate Capital Histories may be found under "Capital Changes" followed by "Capital Changes Reports." This collection covers federal tax consequences of capital changes for more than 58,000 U.S. corporations and organizations resulting from stock dividends, stock splits, reorganizations, exchanges, mergers, acquisitions, rights, and other changes in capital structure or corporate name.

Help

Help is available from within the database by clicking the "Help" button at the top of the page. Several 'User Guides' are also available under "Help/Getting Started" on the IntelliConnect homepage.
