Description

Biographical Archive of the Middle Ages includes biographical information on more than 97,000 persons from Europe and the Middle East prominent in politics, literature, religion, art, and other fields during the Medieval period.  Access to around 130,000 articles (scanned from nearly 200 standard reference volumes) is available.  Biographical Archive of the Middle Ages is part of a larger collection, World Biographical Index, but it is the only unit of that collection for which our subscription includes full access to the scanned articles, and not merely bibliographic citations to the source works.
