New! World Development Indicators

The Libraries new online resource, World Development Indicators, is a complete and authoritative collection of statistics on countries, regions, and economic groupings of the world, as collected and presented by the World Bank. Data series include extensive economic, demographic, social, environmental, educational, and cultural indicators.

Data is derived from national statistical organizations, the World Bank data collection, and other authoritative sources of information. The database's flexible interface allows choice of countries, data items, and years of coverage. Data can be output as Excel or text files, or graphed online.

Users can access World Development Indicators from the front page of the Libraries website, either through IRIS or by locating it in the title list of Indexes and Databases or in any of the following subject listings:
General and Multidisciplinary / Statistics / Data,
General and Multidisciplinary / Government Publications,
Social Sciences and Law / Economics.
