Access Services Committee: Purpose Statement

The Access Services Committee, a subgroup of the Public Services Council (PSC), is responsible for developing access services policy and procedures for Rutgers University Libraries (RUL). The Committee implements the Unicorn circulation, reserve, and request modules by testing new system releases, suggesting and ranking system enhancements, studying and implementing system functions, and participating in training initiatives.

The Access Services Committee is composed of staff and librarians with responsibility for access services operations at unit libraries and for access services functional areas. The Head, University Libraries Access and Interlibrary Services chairs monthly meetings and reviews membership annually.
