Rutgers University Libraries
Draft Mission Statement

The Rutgers University Libraries are a partner with the University's schools and departments in meeting the research and instruction needs of students, faculty, and staff. The Libraries acquire, organize, manage, preserve, and provide access to information resources in support of the University's instruction, research, and service missions. The Libraries provide an environment that supports intellectual inquiry, scholarly communication, and lifelong learning for the university community, the citizens of the state of New Jersey, and the research community at large.
