Conference Registration Open for Networking Black Print: Reimagining Black Bibliography
Universitywide
The Black Bibliography Project, in collaboration with Rutgers University Libraries, is hosting a conference at Alexander Library on Thursday, April 9, and Friday, April 10. The agenda will feature plenary conversations, hands-on sessions, and insightful panels on the future of Black books. Acclaimed scholars, librarians, curators, and collectors will come together to celebrate the launch of the Black Bibliography Project database over the course of two exciting and transformative days.
The conference is free and open to the public. Advance registration is required.
The Black Bibliography Project (BBP) is a collaborative project between Rutgers and Yale Universities to develop an open access database of Black book history. The BBP aims to revive the practice of Descriptive Bibliography —the systemic description of print materials as physical objects—for African American and Black Diasporic literary studies.
