The Special Collections archive contains items from the near century of history at Rutgers University-Camden. Founded as the South Jersey Law School in 1926, the campus has grown from a single building institution to an expansive university anchoring Camden’s University District. A long line of librarians and archivists have collected items throughout that history which now comprise our Special Collections archive.

As part of Archives Month Philly, this exhibit features a selection of items from the Special Collections archive at Rutgers Camden. Curated by Camden Special Collections Librarian Bart Everts, this display features yearbooks dating back to the 1950s, campus publications including The Gleaner newspaper, playbills, sports team memorabilia, and a sheet of original haiku from poet Nicholas Virgilio.
