Melissa De Fino is the Team Lead for Cataloging and Metadata Services and the Metadata Librarian for Special Collections and Audiovisual Materials. She provides leadership for cataloging and metadata operations and specializes in the description and discovery of special collections, audiovisual materials, and faculty deposits. Her work focuses on making distinctive collections more accessible and discoverable through thoughtful metadata. She also contributes to initiatives related to reparative description, scholarly communications, and the evolving role of technical services in academic libraries.
