This workshop will take a deeper dive into conducting qualitative interviews. It will begin with an overview of the decision processes involved in planning the interview. This includes appropriate types of inquiries for interview data and the types of interviews conducted by qualitative researchers. We will also cover conducting the interview itself and begin a preliminary overview of analytic approaches to interview content. This workshop is for anyone interested in using or understanding more about using interviews as a data collection method across different approaches to qualitative research (such as ethnography, grounded theory, pragmatism and more). This workshop will be conducted by Lillian Alexander, NBL Graduate specialist for Qualitative Research Methods.
