ScienceDirect is Elsevier’s platform for ebooks and peer-reviewed journals in the areas of physical sciences and engineering, life sciences, health sciences, and social sciences and humanities. It contains indexing, abstracts, and tables of contents for over 2,500 journals and over 35,000 ebooks.

Rutgers has full-text access to many ScienceDirect journals. Articles from these journals may be read online and downloaded. For many journals, Rutgers owns the full backfile dating back to the first issue of the journal. Some articles include additional features such as video, audio, and multimedia files. However, for some journal volumes, Rutgers only has access to indexing and abstracts.

Rutgers has full-text access to over 1,500 ebooks in this collection. These ebooks’ chapters may be read online and downloaded. For the other ebooks in the collection, Rutgers only has access to tables of contents and chapter abstracts.
