I'm New Jersey Regional Studies Librarian and Head of Public Services in Special Collections and University Archives (SC/UA), Rutgers University-New Brunswick. I curate the Sinclair New Jersey Collection, the largest and most comprehensive collection of printed materials on New Jersey in the state, and one of the premier collections of its kind in the country. I also oversee the public services operations of Special Collections and University Archives, including our remote reference services and the New Jersey Reading Room. I also provide instruction, both on-site in SC/UA and in the classroom, that introduces Rutgers student to archives and special collections and supports the Rutgers curriculum. My research interests encompass New Jersey history and culture, with a focus on music scenes. In 2015 I co-founded the award-winning New Brunswick Music Scene Archive in SC/UA. I am also interested in primary source instruction and critical pedagogy in archives and special collections. To that end I teach the Rutgers Byrne First-Year Seminar "Examining Archives Through the Lens of Popular Culture."
