Exhibition Opening - The Transnational Feminist Advocacy of the Center for Women's Global Leadership, Rutgers University

The Transnational Feminist Advocacy of the Center for Women's Global Leadership, Rutgers University exhibition highlights the accomplishments of the Center for Women's Global Leadership (CWGL) from its inception in 1989 to its closing in 2023. CWGL has been instrumental in fostering recognition of women's rights being human rights through its leadership institutes,  international campaigns such as 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence, UN monitoring and advocacy, as well s feminist analysis of socio-economic rights to inform the work of women human rights defenders globally.

Join us to celebrate the exhibition's opening along with a moderated conversation with CWGL executive directors Charlotte Bunch and Radhika Balakrishnan. They will share insights into their trailblazing work of integrating gender and women's rights into the global human rights agendas at CWGL. Maira Asif, a Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies MA student will serve as moderator.
