The Human Gene Mutation Database (HGMD®) represents an attempt to collate known (published) gene lesions responsible for human inherited diseases. It is a repository of inherited mutation data useful for medical research, genetic diagnosis, and next-generation sequencing studies. The database is maintained by the Institute of Medical Genetics in Cardiff.
This free version of HGMD is available to registered users from academic institutions and non-profit organizations. Please register for a personal account using a Rutgers-affiliated email address in order to access this database. Rutgers does not have access to the full professional version of HGMD.
