Database of primary source material describing real and fictitious travel in the Middle Ages, with published editions and secondary sources. The main geographic focus is the Holy Land, India, and China. Material types include manuscripts, printed books, illustrations, and maps. A variety of languages are represented, but the majority of documents are in English, French, and Latin. Additional features include six scholarly essays, brief biographies of 21 travellers, a chronology, slide show, and a substantial bibliography.
