Users must register in order to download mobile versions of the product.  Any email address may be used as long as the user does so on a computer on the Rutgers network/IP range.  A limit of thee downloads of the mobile app are allowed per person, on up to three devices. Registration is also required in order to earn CME/CE/CPD credit via UpToDate. ONLY AUTHORIZED RUTGERS UNIVERSITY USERS MAY ACCESS AND/OR DOWNLOAD THE APP FOR THIS PRODUCT TO A MOBILE DEVICE.


UpToDate is a point-of-care information resource which contains over 10,000 clinical topics representing 25 specialties. In addition to searching the entire resource or viewing Topics by Specialty, there are options to view the newest updates (What's New), Practice Changing Updates, Drug Information, and Patient Education information (the latter is available in English and Spanish). Other features include standard medical calculators and a drug interactions analysis tool. Registered users can earn CME/CE/CPD credit each time they use UpToDate. Specialties included are:

There are many links to full-text articles in each entry's reference list. UptoDate is searchable in several languages, though its content is almost entirely in English.

The web and the mobile versions of the resource are available to all Rutgers University users. However, users must register in order to download the mobile version of the resource and in order to earn CME/CE/CPD credits. Any email address may be used to register as long as the user registers from a computer on the Rutgers network.
