RefWorks Citation Manager Will Transition to EndNote

On October 6, the citation manager known as RefWorks will become EndNote Fusion. No action is required on the part of RefWorks users. The transition is expected to be seamless and take place without any downtime. Your account, saved references, and settings will automatically be transferred to the new platform.

What is changing?

Users who access RefWorks will be automatically redirected to EndNote Fusion. In addition to the new name and URL, users will discover a refreshed interface and new features such as:

• Bulk full text retrieval: Automatically retrieve full text for up to 250 references at a time. 
• AI-powered document analysis: Quickly summarize, compare, or translate documents using integrated AI tools. 
• Enhanced writing support: Identify suitable journals for publication based on the subject and scope of your manuscript.  

What is not changing?

Users do not need to migrate their data or create a new account. All your saved references, folders, attachments, and settings will be automatically transferred to the new platform. All RefWorks browser extensions and writing plugins will likewise continue to function without the need for reinstallation.  

Existing export workflows also should continue to function. In some locations, users may continue to see RefWorks branding for a short time, but those links will direct users to EndNote Fusion.
