Request Reserves

The libraries continue to prioritize online reserves due to the hybrid status of many patrons. Whenever possible we will procure electronic versions of titles or digitize items as copyright permits. Contact us if you have any questions.

Starting July 1, 2026: Rutgers University Libraries will no longer purchase textbooks in any format, per our collection policy.

We’re happy to place a personal physical copy on reserve, and your liaison librarian can assist with finding alternative materials.

Use this form if you would like to have library staff handle your reserves, or if you need something for your course that we don't have in electronic format. 

Please submit your requests in advance to give us time to process them. New acquisitions may take an additional 2-6 weeks to process.
