Medieval Travel Writing is a collection of digitized primary source manuscripts describing real and fictitious travel in the Middle Ages, with accompanying secondary sources. The main geographic focus is the Holy Land, India, and China. Material types include manuscripts, printed books, illustrations, and maps. A variety of languages are represented, but the majority of documents are in English, French, and Latin. Additional features include six scholarly essays, brief biographies of 21 travelers, a chronology, slide show, and a substantial bibliography.

The original documents in this collection are located at over 20 European libraries and Yale University Libraries.
