About the Health Sciences Libraries

Welcome to the Health Sciences Libraries!

Our health sciences libraries support the information needs of faculty, students, researchers, and staff to the Rutgers Health schools and institutes throughout the state.

The academic, research, and patient care programs at Rutgers Health are geographically dispersed as are the libraries which support them. The libraries that primarily serve the Rutgers Health community are the George F. Smith Library of the Health Sciences (Rutgers Health - Newark), the Robert Wood Johnson Library of the Health Sciences (Rutgers Health - New Brunswick), and the Library of Science and Medicine (Rutgers Health - Piscataway). In addition, the libraries provide access to resources to clinical faculty and trainees, which are part of Rutgers Health and the RWJ/Barnabas Health partnership. The libraries support those in residency programs and preceptors/volunteer faculty aligned with Rutgers.

With the movement from print to digital, and physical to mobile, just-in-time access to library resources from classrooms, laboratories, and patient care settings is available where and when needed. Resources are available via our robust website and accessible from your desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone. Our librarian experts are available to consult with you to meet your information needs.
