Description
America: History and Life is an index of scholarly literature on United States and Canadian history and culture from prehistoric times to the present. Subject areas covered include history, anthropology, art, cultural studies, genealogy, literature and folklore, popular culture, sociology, women’s and gender studies, and more.
The database includes citations for journal articles, book and media reviews, and dissertations. Over 1,800 journals are indexed. Most citations include indexing and abstracts only, but a small amount of full text content is also included. The majority of citations are for English-language sources, but it also includes citations and English-language abstracts for articles published in a variety of languages.
