Help
All NCBI databases and databanks, as wells as items on the NCBI Bookshelf, are covered in the NCBI HelpManual. A link is located in the footer at the bottom of each page or directly at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK3831/
User tools and features
A FAQ on the database is found at http://report.nih.gov/faq.aspx and contains information about content and searching techniques. Video tutorials are also available under the “About” link. The main search or “query” page is located on the database’s home page. It allows users to key in specific information related to funding, which are used in lieu of search terms. They are: Project Number/Application ID, Program Officer, Project Start Date, Project End Date, Award Notice Date, NIH (non) ARRA Selection, and Award Size (for NIH or CDC only). Each search field provides an example of how to key in data, as well as a question mark (?) which may be clicked to receive search assistance. There are buttons available to submit and clear the query menu.
