South Asia Open Archives (SAOA) is an open access collection of digitized primary source materials from and about South Asia. It includes materials in the arts, humanities, and social sciences in English and other languages of the region. SAOA contains books, journals, newspapers, census data, magazines, and documents, with particular focus on social and economic history, literature, women and gender, and caste and social structure. Materials in SAOA are sourced from libraries, research centers, archives, and other institutions around the world.
