British Periodicals contains around 500 digitized journals originally published in Great Britain from the 17th through the early 21st centuries. Each journal issue has been fully digitized from cover to cover and is fully searchable. A wide variety of subject areas are represented, including literature, art, music, drama, philosophy, history, fine arts, politics, and science. Major titles include All the Year Round, The Edinburgh Review, Gentleman’s Magazine, Quarterly Review, and The Tatler.
Rutgers has access to British Periodicals Collections I-IV on this platform. These collections include content from the microfilm collections English Literary Periodicals, Early British Periodicals, and British Periodicals in the Creative Arts. They also include additional journal titles from the 20th and 21st centuries.
