The Gilded Age
The Gilded Age is a collection of digitized primary sources covering the late 19th century in the United States accompanied by more recently created interpretive materials, including videos and documentary essays by scholars. The collection aims to cover history social change in the United States from after the Civil War through the early 20th century. Digitized materials were sourced from libraries, museums, and archives, including the Newberry Library, Chicago Historical Society, and the Illinois State Library. The collection offers a variety of searching and browsing options, including the option to browse by historical theme, including:
