To access SciFinder, first create a personal account by registering for SciFinder. Please use your Rutgers email address to register. Then, log into SciFinder with your account. Current faculty and staff, officially registered students, and formally affiliated visiting scholars and researchers are eligible to create accounts.
After logging into SciFinder, you may switch to the new version of the database, SciFinder-n, using the link in the header. Your SciFinder login works for both SciFinder and SciFinder-n.
SciFinder comprehensively covers the worldwide literature of chemistry including journal articles, patents, conference proceedings, theses and dissertations, technical reports, government documents, and more. It also includes information about chemical structures, reactions, chemical suppliers, and biosequences. It features a wide range of search methods, including research topic, author name, CA abstract number, patent number, chemical structure, molecular formula, chemical name, CAS registry number, functional groups in reactions, bibliographic information, and more.
