Description

LAPOP (Latin American Public Opinion Project) conducts surveys of public opinion throughout the Western Hemisphere, including North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean. LAPOP's core project is the AmericasBarometer, a rigorous comparative survey of political and social attitudes and demographic and economic characteristics. It is an effort by LAPOP to measure democratic values and behaviors in the Americas using national probability samples of voting-age adults. The survey has been conducted on a regular basis since 2004. This collection of AmericasBarometer datasets includes questionnaires, data files and notes in Stata and SPSS formats, technical information, and codebooks.

LAPOP also issues many free publicly accessible reports and summaries on the LAPOP website hosted by Vanderbilt University.
