How Do I renew my checkouts?

Rutgers Materials

You may renew most items yourself by signing in to your QuickSearch account using your NetID or library barcode and password.

  1. On the "loans" section of your account you can click the "renew all" button to renew all of your loans, or the "renew" button next to each loan you'd like to renew.
  1. New due dates will appear immediately. Items that fail to renew will also be noted.
Materials that cannot be renewed include items that have been recalled by another borrower, reserve materials, and items for which the renewal limit has been reached.

Interlibrary Loan, E-ZBorrow, and UBorrow Materials

You can renew most interlibrary loan materials for 4 weeks, E-ZBorrow books for one additional 6-week loan period, and UBorrow books for one additional eight-week loan period. Please note that the renewal takes effect on the day you renew; 4, 6, or 8 weeks are not added to your original due date unless you renew on that date.

Renewals for these materials are not guaranteed. Some materials may be marked as "no renewal" by the lending institution. Special borrowing restrictions and conditions are noted on each item's book band.
