IMF eLibrary is a free collection of International Monetary Fund (IMF) publications, including periodicals, books, working papers, studies, and data and statistical tools. Areas covered include macroeconomics, globalization, development, trade and aid, technical assistance, demographics, emerging markets, policy advice, poverty reduction, and more.

To view IMF data, select IMF Data in the IMF Sites menu at the top right. Predefined reports are available, and one can also run queries within and across datasets. Some of the datasets include:

  • International Financial Statistics (IFS)
  • Balance of Payments (BOP)
  • Direction of Trade Statistics (DOTS)
  • Government Finance Statistics (GFS)

To view data from the Annual Report on Exchange Arrangements and Exchange Restrictions (AREAER) from 1999 to the present, select MCM Data in the IMF Sites menu. This report tracks the exchange rate and trade regimes of all members of the International Monetary Fund.
