Alumni, Guests, and Visitors

Rutgers alumni and senior auditors can register as guest borrowers.

Guest borrowers may check out up to 25 books, for up to 6 weeks (unless requested by another patron). Guests aren't eligible for off-campus access to our subscription databases, but may access them on-site at any Rutgers library.

Guest borrowers who do not comply with timely return policies may forfeit further borrowing with all Rutgers Libraries.

Registering as a guest

Most alumni and senior auditors will use NetID and their RUID card to access library services, but you may be assigned a barcode and password to access library materials if you are not eligible for NetID.

Alumni can bring a Rutgers Alumni Card to any Rutgers library information desk. If you graduated less than a year ago and don't have an alumni card yet, a photo ID is sufficient.
