Make a Postcard hosted by Rutgers Special Collections and University Archives

Please join Rutgers University Libraries for exciting Welcome Week events and activities. Stop by our libraries for free snacks, giveaways, meet and greets, and more!

Camden (Paul Robeson Library)

  • September 1 (11:30 a.m.–4:15 p.m.): Complete "Mission Library" as part of Raptor Welcome at Robeson Library.
  • September 1 (4:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m.): See us at the Raptor Welcome Campus Fair at the Athletic Field.
  • September 5–9: Enjoy tea, puzzles, and calming activities at "The Tea Spot" in the Raptor Roost (Campus Center), co-sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs, the Student Wellness Center, and Robeson Library. 
  • September 7 (11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.): See us and spin the prize wheel at the Rutgers–Camden Campus Resource Fair on the quad.
  • September 8 (3:30 p.m.): Meet representatives from the Robeson Library on the quad before heading to Rutgers-Camden's Inaugural Fall Convocation

Newark (Dana Library)

  • September 2 (12:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m.): See us at the International Student Orientation at Samuels Plaza.
  • September 6–9: Go on a "Library Treasure Hunt" at Dana Library—find a book, check it out, and get swag.
  • September 12 (11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.): See us at the RU–N for Resources Fair and On-Campus Job Expo at Samuels Plaza.
  • September 19 (11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.): Join us for the "Director's Welcome" and giveaways at Dana Library.

New Brunswick (New Brunswick Libraries)

Alexander Library

  • September 6 (1:00–3:00 p.m.): Grab a snack and talk with our staff to learn more about our library resources and spaces.
  • September 6–9: "Make a Postcard" hosted by Special Collections and University Archives (SC/UA) in the Alexander Library lobby. Write to your family and friends on free SC/UA postcards, and we'll mail them for you!

Art Library

  • September 6 (1:00–3:00 p.m.): Enjoy activities and giveaways, including food, library swag, and student success kits (while supplies last). Meet an archivist and an art librarian, and learn more about our libraries. "Make a Postcard" with SC/UA.

Carr Library

  • September 7–8 (3:00–4:00 p.m.): Stop by for grab-and-go snack bags.

Douglass Library

  • September 6: Enjoy free snacks to welcome students to the Douglass campus.

Library of Science and Medicine (LSM)

  • September 2–23: Join us for "Color Your Life at Rutgers Libraries."
  • September 6 (1:00–3:00 p.m.): Stop by for snacks and outdoor games under the LSM portico.
