There are many resources to assist you in managing, organizing, and sharing your data.

To get started with best practices for handling your data, such as proper backup and file naming, try DataONE or DataMANTRA.

For data description and preparation for use by others, there are many excellent guides, including ICPSR’s Guide to Social Science Data Preparation and Archiving, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Guide to Preparing Environmental Data.

You can find a repository suitable for sharing your data by consulting the re3data directory or this listing of open access data repositories.

Check the Data Management Libguide for more resources.  Or consult with the NBL Data Team! NBL_DataTeam@libraries.rutgers.edu
