Welcome to the Do-It Yourself Library Page!

The lists below represent the commonly used features and resources at the Paul Robeson Library.

What do you need?

I need course reserves (reading list)

Course reserves are currently online-only, and are accessible via the new Reading List tool within your course website (Canvas, Blackboard, or Sakai). Just choose Reading List from the course navigation to easily see and access your readings for the week.

find reading list in left-hand navigation in your online course space

Don't see it there? You can also search directly within the reading list tool.

I need a book!

  • You can search QuickSearch by keyword, title, author, or subject.

  • Click here to find more detailed directions on how to search for a book.

  • Need to find a book in the library? Our call number finder will help you find the exact location.

  • If you need a book that is not available from the Rutgers Libraries (not owned, checked out, or otherwise unavailable), you may be able to request the item via E-ZBorrow.

  • If your book is not available through E-ZBorrow, you may be able to get it through UBorrow, a service that lets Rutgers share materials with the other members of the Big Ten Academic Alliance. Search UBorrow

  • If you have tried all of the above and still cannot get the book, put in an Interlibrary Loan request to get the book from another library.
